Next we talk about seeing Raiders of the Lost Ark at a local movie theater and how movie making has changed in the last 40 years. Then we wrap things up with Dad getting depressed, because he is sick of Star Wars finding its way into our conversations.

It's our 20th episode and our third annual Thanksgiving Eve episode. In this episode we go off the cuff and cover numerous topics. We talk about Corinna's first trip to the voting polls during the mid-term elections, what fans of the TV show "Glee" should be called, and how awful the Saturday morning shows from Dad's childhood were. We then talk about humans' false belief in the nobility of wild animals, how there used to be only one notable tap dancer at a time, and the names that celebrity characters were given on "The Flintstones." We then wrap things up with a discussion of the movie The Bishop's Wife, everyone's belief that the decades they grew up in were the best, and a discussion on whether calling chicken "yardbirds" is a cultural or regional creation.

After a three month hiatus we return with a lot of random discussions, but specifically talk about the museum exhibit "The Art of the Disney Costume," Dad talks about cutting back his mobile phone use time, and tries to praise "Top Gun:Maverick" before blowing a gasket over the absence of USB ports on his computer. There is some discussion about "Lord of the Rings" and "Rings of Power" and a few concerts. Dad gives a short Bible study about the treatment of the poor, and then he praises the writing of Cormac McCarthy and reads a portion of "Blood Meridian"
